Bio

Chris Brooks is a PhD candidate in the Plant Biology Graduate Group, and he is interested in how the circadian clock and environmental stimuli interact to control plant growth and development. He studies this by looking at the molecular mechanisms that underlie heliotropism, the solar tracking behavior that sunflowers are famous for. Outside of the lab, Chris like spending his time watching and playing sports and taking advantage of the beautiful California weather.
